Twelve Chinese nationals and one Ghanaian have been arrested by National Security operatives in connection with the missing ECG containers at Tema Port.
The suspects, linked to two aluminum smelting companies in Shai Hills, were apprehended on Thursday during an intelligence-led operation. Investigators traced cables, believed to be part of the missing consignment, to a Chinese-owned aluminum smelter located opposite the Shai Hills Game Reserve.
Reports indicate that these cables were being melted into aluminum bars for export. Meanwhile, National Security operatives have launched a manhunt for another Chinese national who remains at large.
