Mr. Anthony Attigah, Chief Executive Officer of Uni-Transit, has reaffirmed his commitment to social impact and cultural preservation following a meaningful visit to his hometown of Kpetoe Agotime over the weekend. The visit served as a moment of reconnection with his roots and offered him the opportunity to give back to the community that shaped him.
During his time in Kpetoe Agotime, Mr. Attigah made a generous donation of mathematical sets to final-year students preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The gesture was aimed at supporting and encouraging the academic aspirations of young learners in the community.
"The students’ thirst for knowledge and their determination to succeed are truly inspiring," Mr. Attigah remarked. "They are the future of this nation, and it is our duty to invest in their potential."
His visit coincided with the joyous celebration of Eid, where he joined the local Muslim community in their prayers and festivities. The atmosphere of unity, joy, and spiritual reflection left a lasting impression on him.
In response to these experiences, Mr. Attigah announced the launch of the Culture and Community Initiative, a project dedicated to uplifting local communities, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering sustainable development. The initiative will focus on three strategic areas:
• Educational Support – Providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help students excel in their academic journey.
• Cultural Preservation – Promoting traditional values, arts, and local heritage through community engagement and creative initiatives.
• Community Empowerment – Enhancing livelihoods and community wellbeing through collaborations in areas such as sanitation, healthcare, and small business development.
As the leader of Uni-Transit, a company recognized for its innovation and social responsibility, Mr. Attigah emphasized that corporate success should go hand-in-hand with community development.
“We must never forget where we come from,” he said. “The Culture and Community Initiative is our way of giving back by investing in the people, values, and traditions that make our communities strong.”
The initiative is expected to roll out in phases across various districts, starting from Kpetoe Agotime, with planned partnerships involving schools, traditional authorities, and grassroots organizations.
Mr. Attigah’s recent efforts have been widely appreciated by local leaders and residents, who see his actions as a powerful reminder of the role individuals and institutions can play in shaping a better future for all.
