Second edition of the transformative youth leadership conference set to bring together young changemakers, leaders and thought leaders in Accra
The Global Changemakers Conference 2026, a growing platform dedicated to empowering young people to become purposeful leaders and agents of sustainable change, is set to take place on Saturday, 21 November 2026, at the GNAT Hall in Accra, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Organised under the banner of Empowerment Through Education, the conference will be held on the theme “The Audacity to Change the World,” calling on young people to move beyond ideas and intentions and embrace the courage, knowledge and responsibility required to create meaningful transformation in their communities and beyond.
The conference brings together young changemakers, emerging leaders, development advocates, entrepreneurs, professionals and experienced voices who are committed to advancing positive social impact.
Building on a Successful Maiden Edition
The 2026 conference builds on the success of the maiden edition, which was held on 20 September 2025 and brought together more than 200 young people for an engaging and transformative experience.
The inaugural conference was designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and expertise needed to identify challenges within their communities and develop practical solutions to address them.
Throughout the maiden edition, speakers explored the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while sharing personal experiences, leadership lessons and practical insights on personal development, community service and social impact.
One of the central messages of the conference was that young people do not need to wait for perfect conditions, significant financial resources or positions of authority before beginning to make a difference.
Rather, participants were encouraged to recognise the opportunities available to them and begin creating change with what they already have.
The philosophy continues to underpin the 2026 edition.

The theme for this year's conference, “The Audacity to Change the World,” speaks directly to the courage required to challenge the status quo and pursue solutions to some of society's most pressing problems.
In an era marked by rapid technological advancement, economic uncertainty, environmental challenges, governance concerns and changing social dynamics, young people are increasingly positioned at the centre of conversations about the future.
However, potential alone is not enough.

Among the featured speakers is Hon. George Opare Addo, Esq., Ghana's Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, whose participation is expected to bring important perspectives on youth development, leadership, empowerment and the role of young people in national transformation.
Also featured is Dr. Mara Huber, a Fulbright Specialist, Global Advisor and Youth Mentor, whose international experience in youth development and leadership is expected to provide participants with a broader global perspective on creating sustainable impact.
Another speaker is Emmanuel Mbansi, Founder and CEO of Impact Africa Alliance and President of the Presidential Youth Leadership Program, whose work in youth development and leadership positions him to contribute valuable insights into empowering young Africans to take ownership of their future.
Also joining the lineup is Clement Asamoah, CEO of Gossip 24 Studios, bringing perspectives from the media, communications and creative space.
The conference will also feature Andy Oppong Dankyi, a Dream Coach, Global Changemaker and UN SDG Young Leader and also the Convener of the Conference, who continues to work at the intersection of personal development, youth leadership and global development.
