Modern media including what we see, and listen is becoming very vast and has many inputs and outputs and multiple functions and purposes. This requires extra care from parents to observe what is to be watched, listened to, and read at home.
Over the past decades, there has been a large increase in available dirty industry materials, sometimes free of cost. Mainstream songs, music, and pornography use have grown common because they are accessible, affordable, and anonymous. They are accessible because they are just a few keyboard strokes away on the internet or just a simple fingertip touch will take you to a vast unlimited world; They are affordable because many online sites offer free immoral songs, music, and pornography to lure viewers to their websites; They are anonymous because they can be viewed in the privacy of a child’s room.
Nowadays, there is no longer a need to buy a cinema ticket to view adult movies, dirty songs, dancing, or XXX pornographic videos. All of these are available freely and many instances are shown 24 hours on broadcast screens and media.
A recent primary research article in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), Psychiatry (2019) shows that music, songs, and pornography are associated with decreased brain volume (size) in the right striatum, decreased left striatum activation, and lower functional connectivity to the prefrontal cortex, therefore reduce the activity of our bodies and create laziness.
The article showed that high consumption of these entertainments is associated with smaller grey matter volume in the viewers and is associated with down-regulation of the brain’s response to erotic material, which greatly affects children who are exposed to these materials. These neural changes in the brains are like the changes seen in the brains of individuals addicted to cocaine, alcohol, and methamphetamines.
This scientific data is consistent with the observed findings in a 2012 Australian study of dirty songs and music showing that 20% of both males and females watching these materials preferred the excitement of sensitizing their genitals over being sexually intimate with a real person. In another observation, 28% of male musicians become addicted to drugs and alcohol and lose interest in sexual activity with their wives or actual women, the issue has obvious deleterious effects on relationships and society.
While the exact profits that these dirty industries (including songs, music, and pornography) generate are unclear, the amount of revenue is in Trillions of Dollars yearly. The promoters are getting richer and richer at the expense of destroying individuals, families, and communities. People’s health has been seriously destroyed and their precious time enormously wasted. Young males and females instead of participating in useful development programs and concentrating on their jobs and earnings and concentrating on their responsibilities towards their families and communities; just spend hours and hours watching, listening, and participating in non-sense activities like music, dancing, and pornographic videos and songs.
Throughout history, there has never been development in any sector in nations where the passion of young individuals is dancing, music, singing, or pornography; these dirty industries kill the energies of youth and weaken the enthusiasm for work and development. Crowds of youth are doing nothing but singing, dancing, and running around eager to watch songs and follow singers, leaving their nation hopeless with no progress one step toward development or morality.
Unfortunately, these dirty industries are promoted as “Entertainment”, but in reality, they destroy both the body and mind of children and youth, producing an “ILL GENERATION” that does not understand the meaning and purpose of life, most of their concern is just singing lasciviously and dating, with no seriousness in working and development.
Statistically, communities and countries where their youth are only concerned about music, singing, dating, and pornography, are left out form modern development and seriously lack youth who have basic skills needed by everyday life like home carpentry, plumbing, electrician, builders, as well basic industrial skills. Poverty is well-established in these societies and countries, while singers and musicians are becoming millionaires.
Dirty music and song exposure for children and adolescents has become ubiquitous. In a 2010 survey of English students between 14 to 16 years old, almost two-thirds claimed that their first exposure to pornographic music at home was at 10 years old or younger. A large survey of American young people revealed that 51% of males and 32% of females claimed to have viewed pornographic music for the first time before they were 13 years old. Clinical studies of these children showed substantial damage to their brain tissue that directly affected their learning process and their everyday behavior.
Loud music and songs, and songs containing prostitution clips often result in anxiety for the child. Children also report feelings of disgust, shock, embarrassment, anger, fear, and sadness after viewing such songs and music. These children can suffer all the symptoms of anxiety and depression. They may become obsessed with acting out adult sexual acts that they have seen, and this can be very disruptive and disturbing to the child’s peers who witness or are victimized by this behavior.
A publication from the Germany Neurological Centre in 2016 shows that, children under twelve years old who have been exposed to loud music and songs are statistically more likely to sexually assault their peers, and the majority of these male children are most likely not to initiate marriage relationships in the future or maybe until late ages because they use their sexual desires here and there with hookup girls. This is because children exposed to music, dirty songs, and pornographic materials are at risk for a broad range of maladaptive behaviors and psychopathology.
In a unique study between 1989 and 2017 in Europe and the USA using over 200 thousand children, the following observations were noted regarding children continuously exposed to music and songs at home, in schools, in pubs, and in churches compared to control groups:
- 18% of Males demonstrated increased callousness toward women.
- 26% of Males considered the crime of rape less serious, especially to vulnerable girls like schoolgirls.
- 34% of Both males and females were more accepting of non-marital sexual activity and non-coital sexual practices such as oral and anal sex.
- 21% of Both males and females were more likely to say they were dissatisfied with their sexual partner, instead looking for pop-in pop-out relationships.
- 43% of Both males and females valued marriage less, and they were twice as likely to believe marriage may become obsolete; they were more accepting of sexual infidelity in a relationship.
- In clinical studies, 9% of both males and females were likely to have some problem with sexual hormones in their lives, resulting in discomfort in dealing with sexual relationships with their spouses.
- 57% of Both males and females who are listening to music and songs frequency were most likely to be heavy drinkers of alcohol and intake of prohibited street drugs.
There is strong evidence that music causes arousal of sexual desire, persons who constantly expose themselves to music are more likely to go for sexual harassment. There is also evidence that society’s acceptance of dirty songs and music creates unique problems for women. The use of these materials can result in violent and sexually aggressive attitudes towards women. Men who are in the music industry are more likely to adopt rape myth ideology, which is that women cause rape or enjoy rape or sexual assault.
There is strong evidence that exposure to songs containing pornographic views is associated with sexually aggressive behaviors in both adolescent and adult males. It is common for dirty songs and pornographic movies to portray male vs. female verbal and physical aggression as well as sexual acts that are overtly degrading to women. For young people, both males and females, viewing and listening to such material increases the likelihood of having many sexual partners even continuing to do so after marriage. Similarly, viewing such materials increases the chance of individuals using alcohol and drugs during sexual activity, which increases sexual violence and harassment.
Moreover, it has been reported from the University of Michigan, USA, that based on an 8-year study the SUICIDE rate for MUSICIANS is THREE TIMES higher compared with non-musicians.
Therefore, songs, music, and photographs are all causing severe effects on individuals and society alike, and they are major sources of IMMORALITY in our societies causing damage to our brains, and bodies and corruption in our societies including increasing social harassment and damaging families and societies. Children are more vulnerable and must be protected from free access to them.
What Solution
Our societies must be protected from the side effects of songs, music, and pornography; these along with intoxicants, are considered “Dirty Industries” that have been promoted intentionally to serve as a weapon to damage our society and open for evil to dominate the world.
But how to solve the issue of songs, music, and pornography?
I found it very logical that these dirty industries to be prohibited so immorality in our societies can be eliminated.
I found that Islam is prohibiting singing, songs, music, and pornography. They do not allow the play of music in their Mosques and no music or songs in their worship. In the Qur’an, Allah said: “And of the people who involve themselves in songs and singing and buy the amusement of lower dirty speech of songs to mislead themselves and others from the true way of life without knowledge, and who take it in ridicule; Those will have a humiliating punishment, indeed, their true followers are Satan” (The Holy Quran 31:6).
The Quran says that music is the voice of Satan, and people who are singing and using musical instruments are cursed. The Prophet of Islam said: “Singing grows hypocrisy in the heart just like as water makes crops grow”. He also said: “There will be people from who will make permissible wine and musical instruments, those are cursed by God, and a painful punishment is waiting for them on the Day of Judgment”.
This is a serious warning from the Prophet of Islam, and modern medical and neurological research has confirmed the bad effects of these and gives the same warning as Islam is saying. Parents, therefore, must lift their children from hellfire. Another warning from the Prophet of Islam said: “They will come people who drink wine openly and they will call it by other beautiful names and call it a spiritual drink, and their heads and ears are stuck with musical instruments and harps, God cursed them, and they are living like pigs without shame or chivalry”.
I Rest My Case..!
